If you are not sure which plan would be the best fit for you, Lunar Pages has developed a simple wizard which asks a number of questions and recommends a hosting plan.
The Starter Plan from Lunar pages costs only $2.95 per month and is perfect for those individuals that would like to setup a simple website or blog. A $19.95 domain registration fee has to be incurred however there is no setup fee. Customers are provided with 5GB of storage space and 50GB of data transfer and only one domain can be hosted per plan. 5 email accounts and 1 FTP account is included in the package along with all the tools needed to host an online shop such as shopping carts and shared SSL certificate.
Customers that want a complete business hosting solution and feel constrained by the limitations on the starter plan can choose Lunar pages's Business Hosting Plan. The monthly cost of the plan is $18.95 and as expected there are barely any limitations to the plan. It comes with 3 free domain names and has the option of hosting an unlimited number of other domains. There is no limitation to the disk storage or the data transfer. Similarly there is support for an unlimited number of email accounts which can be accessed using the provided web mail clients. Add-on features include the option of payment processing and merchant services.
As would be expected from any hosting plan there are a number of other features and functionality provided on all hosting plans. These features include:
Perl, PHP ad Ruby on Rails support
Automated scripts for features such as blogs (WordPress), Wikis, Content management system, guest books, image galleries and forum
Support for streaming audio and video
All plans come with a 99% uptime guarantee however unlike a number of hosting providers no mention of compensation is made if this level is not achieved.
For customers that are looking to get a website up quickly and are not capable of making it themselves can take advantage of the Quicksite plan which helps you create a website in 3 steps. The plan costs $9.95 per month and comes with website building tools in which customers can pick from over 500 templates to quickly develop their site. The plan includes a free domain name and unlimited storage.
If your requirements are for higher security and stability you will be satisfied with the Virtual Private Server or Dedicated server options. The Virtual Private servers start at $49.95 for a Linux server and $64.95 for Windows server. The standard plans for both platforms offer 512MB of RAM, 20GB of storage space and 1000GB bandwidth. To control the servers customers are provided with Plesk control panel.
Dedicated servers start from $99 per month for an Intel Celeron 2.0ghz with 1GB DDR2 RAM and 80GB hard disk. A number of other plans are also offered depending on your need.
Affiliates and Resellers
As offered with the majority of other hosting providers, Lunar pages allows its customers to leverage their infrastructure to run their own hosting company. There are two reseller plans to choose from, Basic which costs $5 per month and Webmaster which costs $20 per month. The basic plan offers 1GB storage space and 100 GB of data transfer while the Webmaster plan offers 20GB disk space and 300GB of data transfer. All control panels made by the reseller can be branded with their own company theme.
Customers can also sign up the affiliate program which allows them to earn $65 per referral which can increase with the number of referrals per month. Lunar Pages also offers a 2nd tier referral program which makes it even easier to earn extra money.
Customer Service and Reviews
As seen with other companies email and phone support is provided. Along with this an online help center is developed which gives customers the option of logging a problem ticket with the company. The option of online chat would have been good to add to the website.
There are a number of very flattering customer testimonials available on the website and user reviews on external website are also overwhelmingly positive.

The company was founded in 1998 and has been working since then to provide its customers with affordable and quality web hosting services. In order to provide these services Lunar Pages uses 3 tier 4 data centers spread across the continental US. The company also works with US public schools to provide free web hosting services.
There are a few awards on the company's website however they are from a few years ago.

Lunar Pages does offer a plan for nearly everyone and at prices that make these plans very affordable. They make their proposition even more attractive by bundling free advertising credit and the positive reviews build trust in the company. However the lack of awards won does mean customers should be well informed before signing up.
