However since the processors are not dedicated there can be times when it is not possible to provide additional power. The plan also gives users the ability to develop their own applications using PHP, Perl, Python and Ruby. Users can also choose between MySQL and PostgreSQL to store their data. A number of applications such as WordPress, Drupal and Zen Cart can be added to the website at the touch of a button. An impressive feature is that users have the ability to access their control panel via an Iphone app. This allows you to be in control of your website even if you are on the road.
If you are looking for more dedicated power, then Media Temple can offer you a number of plans for dedicated servers depending on your needs. The base level dedicated server plan costs $50 per month. This plan offers the user 20GB of storage space, 512 MB of ram and 1 TB of data transfers. Users can start off with the base plan and then easily move up to the Rage or Extreme Plan simply by clicking on a button. There is no need to move files or change settings. The Rage plan offers 40 GB of storage space, 1 GB RAM, 1.5 TB of data transfer and costs $100 per month. The Extreme plan offers 60GB of storage space, 2 GB of RAM, 2TB of data transfer and costs $150 per month. Media Temple only uses HP Proliant servers.
Some customer might be thinking a lot bigger than the run of the mill website and for them Media Temple offers their Nitro plan. The Nitro plan costs $750 per month, which for some might be too much but it does offer the hardware to justify the cost. The Nitro plan offers Quad core Intel Xeon 2.33 Ghz processors, two 300GB SAS drives which boast one of the highest data retrieval rates and 3TB of data transfers. Media Temple also works with individual companies to come up with a plan that is optimized for their needs.
