There are a number of dedicated server configurations to choose from. The basic configuration starts at $419 per month. The basic configuration features a dual core AMD Opteron processor, 3.5GB of RAM, 500GB of storage space (2x250MB Disks) and 2TB of bandwidth.
The enhanced plan costs $959 per month and includes a quad core AMD Opteron, 4GB of RAM, 300GB storage space and 2TB of bandwidth. All the plans include features such as root level access, 24x7 telephone support and proactive security patching.
Rack Space also provides you with a Service Level Agreement for their uptime which they state to be 100%. If for any reason they are unable to keep this promise they credit their customers with 5% of their monthly bill for every 30 minutes the servers are down. Customers can get up to 100% of their bill credited due to down time. If any hardware problem occurs in one of your servers the company also has a 1 hour replacement policy.
Additional services like RAID controllers and dedicated firewalls can be purchased for an additional fee. Rack Space also provides information about how they can provide additional applications such as blogs, content management systems and web 2.0 features. The information provided is quite through and builds confidence in the services of the company.
For companies that need more processing power than a single server can provide Rack Space also has private cloud solutions. A number of preconfigured plans are available to choose from or you can chat with one of the Rack Space specialist and get exactly the configuration that you need.
Like with the dedicated servers Rack Space provides detailed information and use cases for the private cloud. Co-location servers provide companies with high availability at a fraction of the cost. The media servers are specialized solution which caters to artist and musicians an infrastructure on which to provide direct to consumer services.
The Cloud services provide the same services as the private could but the servers are shared amongst multiple customers. If your business needs other applications such as email, file sharing or backups Rack Space can provided all of these services. Rack Space offers both their own brand of email for $2 per month and Microsoft Exchange for $10 per month. File sharing starts at $4 for Rack Space's in-house solution and $10 for Microsoft SharePoint.

Rack Space provides multiple avenues of help to its customers. A number and email address are provided along with the option of online chat through the website. The company also provides information about their entire top management which is a good touch to add. While there are no customer testimonials there is a press room which lists all the various times the company has been awarded or featured in the news.
